Machine Knitting @ Textile Arts Center, Brooklyn
[REGISTRATION HAS ENDED!]
Class meets 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM each Sunday.
In this 12-hour class, students will learn the basics of machine knitting on a Brother standard gauge knitting machine. Students will learn to cast on and bind off, how to produce a finished edge, and how to make increases, decreases, and seams. You can even knit a hat!
Classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, the mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision.
4-week students have access to Open Studio time for free during the month of class and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
